We've been hard at work, honest

Over the course of the past 6 months, Todd Erickson and Christian Mulvey of the UD Users Executive Committee were charged with giving your website a face lift.

Initially sending out an RFP to a number of vendors, the two toiled over capabilities of each, pricing and could they meet our target launch of September 23rd, 2009.

Ultimately eSpace Communications was selected for the project to be overseen by Todd and Christian.

"We selected eSpace for a combination of reasons. They have and continue to work with a number of Credit Unions. After discussing our vision they not only understood but were able to offer alternatives as well as enhancements," Todd said.

Administration of past site was difficult according to Christian. "One of my top priorities was to select a vendor that could offer a simpler administation interface so that we could update site in a more timely fashion," said Christian. "In addition, we can now divy up the pages so the Executive Committee can adminstrate pages that apply to their areas of responsibility," he added.

Not only has the front end received a facelift but the back end. Much thought went into automated database management as well as building it to accomodate future needs as well.

"Each employee can now obtain their own log on credentials unlike our past site were only a single account was available and the employee was asked to "share" the log on information," explained Todd. "This was due to the human intervention that was required with each log on request," he added.

Due to database structure, we have a listing of all paid credit union members. When you apply for your account, it checks the database. If your CU is on it, your application is automatically processed. If you're CU is not listed as a current paid member your denied and your brought to the membership application page. This is all done with no human interaction on the admin side which makes Christian extremaly happy as well as serves our membership in a more timely fashion.

We have a number of other enhancements in place and more on the horizon.

Please apply for access and browse through the site. We are still in the process of some final content as well as tweaking but as before, feel free to comment on likes and dislikes.
